OAA Rejects Defamatory Accusations of Cubadebate Article

(Miami, FL) – Outreach Aid to the Americas (OAA) today rejected the defamatory claims in the article, “The multimillion financing of the anti-Cuban industry in the time of Trump,” published on the website Cubadebate on October 21, 2020, by Randy Alonso Falcón.
We are a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to mobilizing resources and partners to provide aid, preparedness, and sustainable development. Our programs bring food, work, and capacity-building efforts to vulnerable groups and communities throughout the Americas.
"It is unfortunate that this article seeks to discredit the work and mission of our organization, which is dedicated to helping vulnerable persons and victims of disasters with humanitarian assistance," said Teo Babun, President of OAA. "In addition to Cuba, our ministry reaches beneficiaries in every Central American country, as well as in Haiti and the Caribbean islands," he added.
OAA works with complete legality and transparency according to the standards that apply to organizations like ours. We consider the content of the article in question manipulative and defamatory, and it is regrettable that this is the kind of information that is typically consumed by Cuban nationals through partisan media outlets.

(Miami, FL) – Outreach Aid to the Americas (OAA) rechaza las difamaciones del artículo, "El multimillonario financiamiento a la industria anticubana en tiempos de Trump", publicado en el sitio Cubadebate el 21 de octubre de 2020 y firmado por Randy Alonso Falcón.
Somos una ONG basada en la fe con la misión de movilizar recursos y socios para el socorro y la preparación, la promoción y el desarrollo sostenible. Nuestros programas alcanzan con alimentos, medios de trabajo y capacitación a comunidades y grupos vulnerables en las Américas.
"Es lamentable que en este artículo se haya desprestigiado el trabajo y la misión de nuestra organización, que se dedica a ayudar a las personas vulnerables y víctimas de desastres con asistencia humanitaria," dijo Teo Babun, presidente de OAA. "Además de Cuba, nuestro ministerio llega a beneficiarios en todos los países centroamericanos, así como en Haití y las islas del Caribe," agregó.
OAA trabaja con total legalidad y transparencia según los estándares que amparan organizaciones como la nuestra. Consideramos una manipulación y difamación el contenido del mencionado artículo y lamentamos que sea ese el tipo de información que más consume la audiencia nacional cubana a través de medios de comunicación partidistas.
